While everyone was out celebrating with their favorite pint for St. Patty’s Day, I was at the airport for a very different kind of celebration. One of my good friends, Bre along with her younger sister, family, and friends welcomed her parents as they brought home the newest member of their family. We were all excited to meet Aaron! Here are a few favorites from the evening.
We had tons of signs! This one was made by a little boy from their church for everyone to hold.
Trying to figure out where they would be getting off their flight at.
The girls trying to spot them in the crowd.
Finally someone yelled out “There they are!”
Little Aaron making his way up the hallway!
Finally reunited. There certainly wasn’t a dry eye in the group. (Love Aaron looking up and smiling at them!)
Meeting his siblings for the first time.
Tim cracking jokes about everyone’s tears ;)
Stealing his monkey back from Bre
Meeting the grandmas.
Then everyone hung out to chat and meet the little guy.
He was very interested in his welcome home signs.
After such a long plane ride, it was time for the family to head home. We’re so excited to have you here Aaron! To read more about their story on adoption and the road to Aaron, visit their blog at http://www.journeytoaaron.blogspot.com/
